  • Title:
Reaction between graphene and hydrogen under oblique injection
  • Context:
This study reveals the reaction between graphene and a hydrogen atom. Especially, the dynamics of chemical reaction, where the hydrogen atom bonds with a carbon atom in the graphene, is investigated in detail by observing the trajectory of the incident hydrogen atom. The hydrogen atom must have larger kinetic energy than a small potential barrier (i.e., 0.5eV) to make a bond with a carbon atom in the graphene. It is found that the hydrogen atom has complicated dependence on incident angle because the small potential barrier has dome-like structure in physical space。
